There will be no formal pre- or post-wedding events, like bachelorette or bachelor parties.

There will be a casual pizza and wine evening at the Webersburg restaurant the night before the wedding for guests staying on the estate. As this is not a formal catered event, each guest will be responsible for their own bill.

Breakfast is included for guests staying on the estate and will be served in the restaurant.

The ceremony, weather permitting, will be held on the lawns. Please wear sunscreen.

The reception will be held indoors in the estate restaurant.

Summer in Stellenbosch is usually warm and dry. Temperatures can reach the early thirties with a high UV index. Please do not forget the sunscreen and your sunglasses. The ceremony will be held on the lawns, weather permitting. Parasols will be available.

It is not usually as windy as in Cape Town, but there can be some blustery days.

After we complete the necessary paper work, the confetti toss will be done and a group photo will be taken.

Guests will be shown to the al fresco area next to the dam where canapes and drinks will be served.

The couple will be taking pictures around the estate and will join for refreshments prior to the reception if there is time.

A two course plated dinner will be served at the reception, followed by dancing and desserts of course!

Webersburg wine estate has a dedicated smoking area on the veranda. Please ask staff on the day for assistance if you are not sure.

Fines will apply if smoking is performed outside this area.

Your little ones are more than welcome to attend.

Unfortunately, there will be no onsite nanny services available on the day.

Catering will be provided for kiddies over the age of 6 months. The canapes are toddler friendly, but might not be to their taste. Please feel free to pack their favourite snack. They will be served chicken strips and chips for dinner. The chef says it is always a big hit with the little ones.

Please note, only glass and porcelain crockery are available on the day. Please pack your kiddies’ favorite sippy cup/ bottle and snack plate, if they need it.

There will be no allocated seating for infants younger than 6 months. Please bring your own stroller/ bassinet to the reception. The restaurant has 2 high chairs available for the kiddies between 6 months and 18 months of age. Children 18 months up will be seated in a chair at the table.

There is no baby changing station available in the bathroom at the restaurant. Webersburg will try set up a baby changing station close to the reception area for the day.

We are at capacity with our venue, which means we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests.

We will only be able to accommodate those mentioned in your “save the date“ and website-link Whatsapp messages.

There will be an open bar until the bar allocation is reached, after which drinks will be purchasable. Webersburg accepts card and cash payments.

Yes, here is some important venue policies to be aware of:

• No shooters will be served before 22h00.

• Hard tack (neat, on the rocks or with a mix) will not be served during the cocktail hour, unless it is an ingredient in a cocktail.

• The venue will not place wine bottles on the table, instead wine should be ordered from the staff or at the bar.

Please note, only Webersburg wines and sparkling wines will be available.

We definitely want to make sure you enjoy your time and meal on our wedding day, please let us know about any food allergies or dietary restrictions when completing the RSVP questions.

Unfortunately, no. There will be no live stream or videography on the day.

We will happily share the photos taken on the day.

Stellenbosch, Strand and Somerset West is around a 20 minutes drive from the venue and Cape town central, Durbanville and Franschhoek is about 45 minutes to 1 hour away if you would prefer somewhere else. Please see the “Stay and Eat“ tab for some of Webersburg’s recommendations.
